Dvd Writer Software Free Download For Windows Xp
Hi, My DVD-RW drive in my laptop has stopped writing. I use the same version of Windows XP on 2 different manufacture laptops and they both had the same problems. On one laptop after loading a variety of burning programs one laptop's ROM drive will now burn but on the other it has continued to not write. During loading these burning programs I purchased an external DVD-RW rom to discover the same problem; Microsoft Fix it telling me that the drive was incapable of writing(except for when the one laptop seemed to fix itself after installing 6 different burning software programs which i discovered only 3 really could change any settings: PowerDVD, Nero, Roxio) Is there any way I can reinstall a ROM writer and are there registry edits to relieve this problem so that both the ROM in the laptop and the USB external DVD-RW writer will work with this computer? It is so weird but I just checked the laptop with the same Windows XP where I had loaded all the burning programs and had it working to find that when I ran the Microsoft Fix it, it again says that the internal ROM drive is incapable of writing but yet I just burnt a test document to a CD-RW and tested it on the non-working computer. Hi, Thank you for responding. The laptop where the ROM drive burns has the same version of Windows XP and does have SP3 installed with ESET Security Software with a MATSHITA UJDA7555yDVD/CDRW ROM drive The laptop that will not burn is again Windows XP SP3 with Microsoft Security Essentials and a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T2ON ROM drive. Again, even with a new Panasonic USB external DVD-RW attached to either laptop the Microsoft Fix it showed they both were not capable of writing. The MATSHITA ROM drive will now write to both its internal and external ROM drives but only after installing a bunch of burning programs; the Microsoft Fix it still shows them as incapable of burning. I will test that link at a much later date as I am not keen on messing around with msconfig, especially if I am to deselect check boxes for drivers and such. However, Is there a way to ensure that the Microsoft Fix it sends my feedback in the box provided after the programs fail attempt to fix the issue? I was hoping that if feedback could be sent that maybe an appropriate patch for my version of Windows would be issued. The part of the MS Fix it process where it tells me it can not help me because the ROM is not write capable; 'What can we do to improve this solution?' Is the title above the text box. After I enter my feedback and try to send it I get 'An error occurred while sending your information to Microsoft.
How would you like to proceed?' Is this feature no longer available or is there something not working correctly with something? Every computer I try using this portable fix it program is unable to send any feedback to Microsoft.
